Lenten Luncheons begin next Thursday, February 26: at Phoenix Congregational Church. March 5--Pennellville UMC, March 12: St. Stephens Roman Catholic Church.March 19th, PUMC (hosted by Phoenix UMC), March 25 at Phoenix Congregational Church (hosted by SOCCOC). All luncheons begin at Noon.
2015 Capital Project
Building on Our Future
To authorize $13,000 in spending, the congregation voted last week to raise $6,5000 in pledges and funds by March 1. We hope to raise the total of $13,000 by June 1. Please join us in "Building on the future" by supporting this project. Pledge cards can be completed and mailed to Pennellville UMC, 389 County Route 54, Pennellville, NY 13132.

This drive is to raise $6500 in cash and pledges by March 1, 2015 so we can remove asbestos and recover the floor in the Fellowship Hall and maintain some invested money to help pay off our loan for last year’s work. Doing this job this May will save $2000 in NYS license fees.

Upcoming Events

Memorial Day Service is May 31st. We will remember all persons who served during our 11 a.m. service. Please bring a photo of friends and loved ones who have served in the military and whose memory you would like to honor in this way. There will be a special time to bring the photos forward during the service. We will celebrate Holy Communion on this service as well.
Final Phase of Renovation Project gets underway on May 18

Asbestos Removal begins in the fellowship hall on MondayMay 18. We anticipate that the hall will be closed for at least a week. If you need access to the Christian Education wing, where the office and choir room are located, please use the side door during the project. All other rooms are accessible.

A local family needs our help
Ron and Linda Boardway of County Route 6 have been burned out of their home and are living in a small trailer on their property. They lost everything. There is a list in the narthex. To avoid duplication, please indicate if you are buying one of the items on the list. We will also accept gift cards and cash donations for gift cards. Please see Pastor Jeff or Nell Francis. If you have a stove or furniture to donate, please call Ron or Linda directly at 256-5406 or 944-8975. Thank you for anything that you are able to do.

Kids Fun Day is Sunday, June 14 from noon until 4:00, cook out to follow.
Methodist Night at the Ballpark is Tuesday, June 16. The fun begins at 5:30 with the giant tailgate party. Tickets are $5. See Lynda Tomlinson to buy your tickets!
